What does JLGB mean to you?
JLGB is my home away from home—a place where I always feel welcome and surrounded by incredible people. It’s more than just an organisation; it’s a community where friendships are formed, memories are made, and young people are given the space to grow, explore, and connect with their Jewish identity.
Why are you excited to work for JLGB?
I’m thrilled to be part of a movement that is dedicated to developing Jewish youth, fostering community involvement, and ensuring that no one is left behind. JLGB reaches Jewish teens across the country, creating opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and connection. Knowing that I can contribute to this mission and help make a difference in young people’s lives is truly inspiring.
What is your favourite JLGB moment?
One moment I will never forget is the end of Winter Camp, when the buses started leaving, and the kids were saying their goodbyes—some with tears, others with smiles. Seeing how much this experience meant to them, how deeply they valued the friendships and memories they had made, was incredibly moving. It was in that moment that I truly understood the impact of JLGB and how important it is for young people to have this supportive and welcoming community.
Tell us about your role within JLGB
I am a Shinshinit at JLGB, working alongside my partner Romy in London, and Roni and Noa in the North. We all came from Israel after finishing high school to volunteer in Jewish institutions across England. At JLGB, we lead local groups, take part in DofE, plan activities, guide in camps, and support wherever we are needed. Our goal is to bring energy, creativity, and a deep connection to Israel while helping to strengthen this incredible community.
