Adult Volunteers Needed to Support DofE Expeditions

JLGB’s Kosher Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has had a record number of sign-ups across the levels this year, meaning help is needed more than ever! If you are a parent, DofE volunteer, JLGB volunteer, past or current Gold Award participant then we need you. We are looking for volunteers every Sunday and Monday from the end of April to July to help on our Bronze and Silver Practice and Assessed Expeditions.

-          Checkpoint Supervisors

-          Driver Supervisors

-          Overnight Campers – particularly females required

-          Campsite Supervisors - 4pm onwards

-          Kit Distributors and Rucksack Packers

-          Kit Collectors/ Debriefers

If you enjoy camping, walking or youth work in general, then we need you, your experience and your expertise. Help young people reach their potential and see first-hand the benefit of the time and effort you will give.

If you are a parent of a current participant, you are very welcome to come out with us on the weekend of your child’s expedition and help with a different group. You will witness benefits of DofE first-hand, while your child and their friends develop skills that go beyond the classroom as they work together and learn to be more independent. See them take a break from technology and experience the wonders of the great outdoors.

Bronze Award: Sundays and Mondays in the months: April, May, June and July

Silver Award: Sundays-Tuesdays in the months: April, May, June and July 

Across: Radlett, St Albans, Hertford and Chesham

Northern Expeditions

Bronze Award: Sundays and Mondays in the months: April, May and June

Silver Award: Sundays-Tuesdays in May

Across: Summerseat, Barton, Chorley and Alderly Edge
