JLGB Success at the Community Fun Run


On Sunday, 23rd June 2024, thousands gathered at Stone X Stadium for the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run, and it was a tremendous success. This event, supporting numerous Jewish charities, was a vibrant display of communal spirit and dedication.
 
This year, JLGB called upon our own community to join the Fun Run Squad, asking members, leaders, parents and family to run, jog, or walk distances of 1k, 5k, or 10k.
 
The atmosphere was electric, with JLGB runners showcasing determination and unity. There collective fundraising effort helps enhance various JLGB programmes, offering invaluable experiences and opportunities for young people to develop skills, build confidence, and foster a sense of community.
 
Volunteers were key to the event's success in other ways too. At the JLGB stall, they conducted taster sessions, provided information, and encouraged new memberships. Their dedication ensured smooth operations and extended JLGB's reach and impact.
 
Alice Brostoff JLGB Communications Coordinator said;
“To everyone who participated or volunteered to support JLGB at the Fun Run, a heartfelt thank you. Your contributions have made a tangible difference, proving once again the power of community action. We look forward to seeing you at future events, continuing this journey of fitness, fun, and community support.”
