Winter Camp
is Back!

Whilst applying for camp, you will be able to sign up for our easy payment plan, just select to pay by Debit Card, and you can set up automatic monthly payments.

Young people who have trouble covering camp costs can apply for financial assistance. For more information, contact Mrs. Estele Miller at hello@jlgb.org by 8th December 2025; support may not be available after that date. All applications are handled with the strictest confidence.

Our menu offers a mix of home classics and camp favourites. Each morning, enjoy a hot breakfast with cereal, toast, and fresh fruit. Lunch features options like baked potatoes and pasta. Dinner is a three-course meal, including schnitzels and stir-fries, plus a filling Salad+ bar.

We cater to special dietary needs with advance notice—just mention it on your Application Form. Drinks are available all day—bring your water bottle and help yourself! If you don’t like what’s on the menu, inform the dining room leaders, and they'll find an alternative for you.

The cost of Camp includes transport from central pick-up points. All participants are expected to travel on the transport provided and should be in contact directly with JLGB otherwise. Expected pick up points are: Borhemawood, Edgware, Gants Hill, South London, Whitefield, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff.

In a heated and fully indoor building, all participants will sleep in en-suite bedrooms of between 4 -8 people. Duvets and pillows will be provided, so you won’t need to bring sleeping bags, ensuring that participants get the home comforts alongside the traditional camp experience.

The building contains many large activity rooms, including an indoor sports hall, large productions hall, dining rooms and many comfortable lounges. There are also outdoor spaces on site which we will use, weather permitting, to make sure everyone gets some fresh air!

We have a high ratio of leaders, including those designated for welfare and medical care, so support is always available. All adult leaders are DBS-checked and are First Aid trained. They'll look after you throughout the week, ready to help with any issues you may have.

The Medical Team will collect your medication on arrival and make sure you get it at the right times! If you do feel unwell, there is a fully-equipped first aid room manned throughout the day. In the event of an emergency we have 24 hour care and we are registered with all local hospitals.

JLGB has many years of experience in dealing with sensitive issues and any welfare concerns will be addressed with care and confidentiality by our Welfare Team. 

Information from our online application process is confidential, so don't hesitate to discuss any issues. We can handle almost anything with advance notice. Please inform us of any changes after applying, such as divorce or bereavement, or anything that might affect your child's wellbeing.

The 'Freshers' Club' is for all participants in years 6, 7, and 8. Our dedicated leaders will organise activities just for you. It's a great way for newcomers to meet others their age and make friends. Look for the Freshers' team when you arrive—they'll be waiting!

We understand that going away from home can be nerve wracking, and we will do our best to accommodate you with at least one friend you know already. Please clearly note the names of those you would like to shared with at the end of your application form.

Winter Camp is a fully Kosher site and the programme is Shomrei Shabbat with an inspirational Shabbat experience as part of the programme. There are also facilities available for daily prayer services and those who wish to take part should let the camp team know beforehand via their application form.

We have a dedicated security team, working closely with the CST, to make sure that you are kept safe whilst at camp. During the night leaders are never far away, emergency points and leader’s rooms are clearly marked. Emergency phone numbers will be issued should parents need to contact their child whilst at camp.
