Benjamin Cohen is a British web developer, entrepreneur and journalist, known for founding the first ever Jewish social network and going on to found PinkNews!

Born in 1982 to a Jewish family in London, Benjamin became a public name in 1998 when at the age of only 16 he founded JewishNet.co.uk – a social network before the birth of Facebook, LinkedIn and even MySpace! Graduating from Kings College in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, Ben sold his company and took on a series of digital enterprises, including founding PinkNews! the world’s most-read LGBT+ publisher.

Ben has had a diverse range of careers and roles, including serving as the technology correspondent for Channel 4 News, joining the board of the Nobel Peace Prize winning disability NGO Humanity & Inclusion, and is now a non-executive director and trustee. Ben has also chaired Out4Marriage, the successful cross-party campaign for same-sex marriage in England and Wales. All this, whilst growing PinkNews to receive over 50m unique visitors a month and managing a diagnosis of MS.

We are so privileged that he has found the time to speak to us despite his busy schedule, so without further ado. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome tonight’s very special guest, Benjamin Cohen!

For over 125 years, young Jewish people have been discovering just how brilliant they can be and how they can make the world a better place through JLGB. Whether you're 8 or 18, whatever you want to be, join in and be your best self with us!
