Brett Harris Wigdortz OBE is the Founder and Honorary President of Teach First, an educational charity working to break the link between low family income and poor educational attainment in England and Wales.

He was CEO of Teach First from its launch in 2002 until October 2017. In July 2018 Brett was appointed the new Chair of National Citizen Service (NCS) a programme very much part of the JLGB family. He is currently the co-founder and CEO of tiney.co, a digital B-corp focused on reimagining at-home childcare and unlocking the potential of all children.

Brett is married and lives in north London with his three young children and has travelled to over 70 countries in the past 18 years. He has also written a book, about the first decade of Teach First as a guide to other entrepreneurs, entitled Success Against the Odds – Five lessons in how to achieve the impossible; the story of Teach First, which was named WHSmith's Business Book of the Month in September 2012. And he also just so happens to be my Uncle.

Ladies and gentlemen please welcome tonight’s very special guest and great friend to JLGB Brett Wigdortz OBE.

For over 125 years, young Jewish people have been discovering just how brilliant they can be and how they can make the world a better place through JLGB. Whether you're 8 or 18, whatever you want to be, join in and be your best self with us!
